Gingerbread house

As I watched Lily and Sam create this beautiful gingerbread house I imagined what foundation we are laying for our children. With each piece of candy I thought to myself will their house be built on the solid rock of Christ. My prayer for my children is not wealth, fame, or the world's view of prosperity, my prayer is that they love the Lord their God with all of their hearts. I would rather see Lily on the mission field with a dozen children that she is raising for Christ, and Sam a fire breathing preacher of the word of God than for them to have all of the material things this world had to offer. Christmas is around the corner and it will be full of unnecessary things, but Jesus will be our focus His love is the reason I live. Merry Christmas!!!
